Re-up of Reel

This is my most current reel so far. This one is strictly animation but I do model as you can see from the pictures below and there is also 2d animation and design under my belt and I look forward to showing them all off as I get permission to do so.

Look forward to my 2010 reel and uploads. There are a bunch of WIPs, animation, interactivity, and modeling tests as well as sketches, and comic art.

Links to some things I worked on.

I am not sure if I put this up as yet but these two sites hold work that I have done. The first one is photo manipulation, color correction, sharpening, etc, so that other brands and things of that nature were taken out and the richness of the wood were brought out. The second one is all animation and rigging in Toon Boom Studio where I animated about 90% of the project over 3 months. %100 if the food court and its topics and the intro.

Hello world!

Does anyone know where the title comes from?

Anyway...I am designing my male character. Back from my scanning and personal issues, mainly not finding any work or a job at all, I decided to get back to what I love and that is creating, animating, y'know just plain doing my thing. It will get me work in the long run but it is hard when you have to take care of your family, home, and still have to be able to produce your own work on your own time while looking for a (any) job yourself.

My sole focus now is on my 2d animated short "RED" and my Flash RPG demo using 3D sprites. The second one kills many birds with one stone, Interactivity and 3D modeling, animation, and texturing. I'm actually working on redesigning the main guy now the beast was my favorite but I want to have both models done with some basic animation on them before I texture anything. At least I can show a demo of it when its like that.

I hope you enjoy what you see, I will be updating a lot more and in detail. Maybe those that come here, employers or just fans of my previous work (yea yea I AM coming back with an all new webcomic thanks to Edwin) will know what goes into what I do and the successes and failures.

Here's to finding work.

I'm just talking to the void out there.

I send many people here in my search for employment because I want my work to speak for me. Anyone can type up a story in a cleverly worded cover letter but the work speaks for the artists not the words. Many may read this and think, "you need to sell yourself." What better way to sell yourself then to show the work you have done on the job (if you are allowed to) and the work you do on your own? You show the growth as an individual and as an artist. You show that in your career you have not been stagnant but that you have grown and acquired new techniques, programs, and problem solving skills.

Anyone can say anything but not anyone can do anything. As much as I am willing to answer any questions about myself and what I do, my work and my history speak for me.

With that said expect a new demo reel for 2009. I only have my computer to render on so it will be awhile so if you want to view previews please do not hesitate to ask as long as you know what previews actually look like.

Also all of my personal work will be going on Deviant Art soon because I have many sketches that just don't fit in here. I will put the link up when I have most of it up. Now where is that scanner, I've been through too many...

Old stuff.

I have neglected this space for a while because I was working pretty hard. Too bad I can't use what I worked on. NDA.....*sigh* but I will update with the stuff I should have put up before!

First, some old!

A few things out of the sketch book of old

This one was done in Maya, inspired by the Ninja 3000 blade.
